Position: Rigger
Location: Bristol
Rate: £22 - £23 per hour (£57,000 - £59,000 per annum)

My client is a long-established Engineering Services company supporting clients across the UK within the pharmaceutical and food processing sectors. They are seeking an experienced Rigger / Machine Mover / Slinger Banksman to join their operations team based in Bristol, with occasional work at satellite sites across South Wales, the South West and the M4 corridor

This hands-on role involves the safe movement and positioning of heavy machinery within production facilities, ensuring all works are carried out efficiently, safely, and to specification. The successful candidate will be a capable team player, confident working under supervision within defined timescales, and adaptable to travel as required.

Rigger Job Overview

• Move and position heavy industrial machinery within manufacturing environments
• Support installation and decommissioning of production line equipment
• Operate forklifts (minimum 10-tonne licence required)
• Perform slinging and banking duties in line with CPCS certification
• Work under supervision of a Foreman to meet client deadlines and site safety standards
• Liaise with site teams to plan and execute lifting operations
• Travel to company and client sites nationwide (overnight accommodation provided when necessary)

Rigger Job Requirements

• Valid CPCS Slinger/Signaller card
• Holding both or either a Forklift or MEWP licence would be advantageous
• Banksman/Slinger ticket essential
• Proven experience in machinery moving or rigging environments
• Full UK Driving Licence and own transport
• Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and health & safety awareness

Rigger Salary & Benefits

• £22–£23 per hour (depending on experience)
• 50 hours per week + overtime opportunities
• 28 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
